Rising Energy Costs Causing Greatest Concern Amongst Staffordshire Manufacturers

Rising energy costs is the greatest cause for concern amongst the manufacturers attending today’s Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Manufacturers’ Forum, chaired by The HEX Group CEO Martin Smith. Representing the region’s manufacturing community, of the 14 firms that attended the event, over half (53%) of firms cited rising energy costs as the number one concern, followed by raw material costs (27%) as the second worry for 2022.

Alpha Manufacturing Named Manufacturer Of The Year 2021 At Business Awards

Staffordshire sheet metal manufacturing company Alpha Manufacturing is celebrating its achievements after being named ‘Manufacturer of the Year 2021’ at the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards. Commended at an awards ceremony held on 11th November at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton, the fabrication company was recognised for its innovation during the pandemic, where the business quickly geared up its operations to support production of Covid-19 safety products, including hand sanitiser stations and protection screens used in NHS testing centres across the UK.
