Hosted by the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce at the Uttoxeter Racecourse, this awards evening marked the 10^th anniversary of the Staffordshire Business Awards. The evening brought together over 450 people from the local business community to celebrate innovation, resilience, and success across the county.

This landmark achievement for The HEX Group showcases its dedication to nurturing talent and providing a positive workplace environment across its diverse operations and 500-strong team.

The Employer of the Year award recognises the group’s outstanding approach to being an employer of choice, investing heavily in apprenticeships—both for its own workforce and for other local engineering firms through its Managed Apprenticeship Scheme—and skills development initiatives. Evidence to this commitment, The HEX Group recently launched its Centre of Excellence, a training hub dedicated to enabling professional and personal growth.

Colleagues at The HEX Group also enjoy a wide range of people-focused initiatives, including community events like HEXFEST—a family fun day and music festival—as well as Extra Mile Awards, an ideas portal where suggestions are actively implemented, and informal ‘Grab a Brew’ sessions with CEO Martin Smith.
