WORK EXPERIENCE& STEM DAYS

Our work experience programme and STEM days give students a genuine insight into modern UK manufacturing and the wide range of careers available across the industry.

Working in partnership with local schools, we bring engineering, production, technology and commercial roles to life through practical activities and experiences across The HEX Group. Each programme is designed to build confidence, inspire curiosity and help young people see where their skills and interests could take them.

WORKING WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS

We work with local schools to introduce young people to the opportunities available across manufacturing, engineering and technology. Our programmes are arranged directly with schools, allowing us to create structured, engaging experiences for groups of students.

Whether joining us for work experience or taking part in a STEM day, students will meet people from across The HEX Group, explore different career paths and discover how their skills and interests could translate into the workplace.

Engineering EXCELLENCE EVERY DAY

  • Work experience

Our school-organised work experience programme gives groups of students a broad introduction to life across The HEX Group. Rather than offering individual week-long placements within a single business unit, our programme enables students to explore different areas of the Group and see how our teams work together.

From production and engineering to marketing, sales and People & Culture, students gain practical insight into the wide range of roles and career opportunities available within a modern manufacturing group.

  • STEM days

Our STEM days bring manufacturing, engineering and technology to life for students from local schools. Through hands-on activities and team challenges, we showcase the skills, creativity and innovation that shape our industry.

Designed to be engaging, practical and light-hearted, each day aims to inspire young minds and demonstrate how rewarding, interesting and successful a career in STEM can be.
