Across The HEX Group divisions, we work with a wide range of industries including automotive, agriculture, aerospace, construction, utilities, and garden lifestyle products.
You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn modern manufacturing techniques, and use the latest technology to build core engineering skills. Each year, we grow the number of opportunities available across different disciplines, creating more routes for young people to begin their careers with us.
OUR APPRENTICESHIPS
Each programme combines classroom learning with real-world experience, helping you develop technical skills and a strong work ethic.
- Craft Engineering (Level 2)
- Develop a strong foundation in manufacturing processes including punch, press brake, and laser operations.
- Gain real-world experience across our production facilities.
- Duration: 18 months | Starting salary: £16,640+
- Entry: Maths and English GCSE at Grade 3 or above.
- Welding (Level 2)
- Learn key welding techniques used across modern manufacturing.
- Study at Stafford College, then apply your skills on-site at Alpha Manufacturing.
- Duration: 14 months | Starting salary: £16,640+
- Entry: Minimum Grade 3 in Maths & English preferred.
- Engineering Technician (Level 3)
- Work across key engineering areas at Alpha Manufacturing or Bri-Stor Systems.
- Specialise in electrical fitting, programming, prototyping, laser operations, and more.
- Duration: 36 months | Starting salary: £16,640+
- Entry: Four GCSEs at Grade 4+ (including Maths & English) or BTEC Level 2 in Engineering.
- Graphics and Signage (Level 3)
- Learn about design, print, and vehicle branding with the HEX Graphics team.
- Combine distance learning with four days a week of hands-on training.
- Duration: 24 months | Starting salary: £16,640+
- Entry: Four GCSEs at Grade 4+ (including Maths & English).
- Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
- Study for a fully funded degree while working within our manufacturing divisions.
- Focus on advanced manufacturing, design support, and project delivery.
- Duration: 48 months | Competitive salary
- Entry: Five GCSEs at Grade 4+ (including Maths, English & a STEM subject) plus A-levels or a BTEC in Engineering.
